Nylon is a silk-like thermoplastic, generally made from petroleum, that can be melt-processed into fibers, films, or shapes. Organza is a lightweight, sheer, plain-woven fabric that was originally made from silk. Many modern organzas are woven with synthetic filament fibers such as polyester or nylon. It wrinkles easily and creates more volume in a dress.
